History

N. W. White & Co.'s roots lie in the hard granite rock of Tarmac America's Olympia Quarry in Columbia, South Carolina.  In 1952 Neal Worth White, Sr. and Neal Worth White, Jr. both worked at what was then known as Columbia Quarries.  George Lott, Sr., the quarry owner, suggested the Whites go into the trucking business so the quarry's customers would have better, more reliable delivery service.

N. W. White & Co. started with one tractor-trailer and soon added two tandems and a 6-ton single axle dump truck.  Over the years the company grew based on the original concept of providing customers with better, more reliable service than they could get elsewhere.

In 1982 N. W. White, Jr. met with Richard Jackson at a Jackson Construction site at Owens Field in Columbia.  Jackson and White discussed joining forces and within a few months Jackson became involved in the ownership of N. W. White & Co.  The company has continued to grow and expand in both number and type of delivery vehicles and the service area.

N. W. White & Co. is comprised of strong individuals and together we make an even stronger team.  Our motto is  "Get in S. T. E. P."  This sums up our commitment to Safety, Training, Efficiency and Production by ensuring that each member of the
